Zen Tech Hub is an independent consumer tech review site serving readers in the United States and the United Kingdom. Running the site — buying products to test, paying writers, keeping the servers on — costs money. This page explains, plainly, how we earn it.

How affiliate links work
Some links on Zen Tech Hub are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy something, the retailer pays us a commission. You pay nothing extra — the price you see is the same whether you arrive through our link or go to the retailer directly. The commission comes out of the retailer’s side of the transaction, at no extra cost to you.

Display advertising
In addition to affiliate commissions, we display ads served by the Adsterra ad network. We earn money when those ads are shown or clicked. Every ad slot is labelled Advertisement. Advertisers do not choose which products we review, and ad placements are managed separately from our editorial content.
Our editorial independence
This is the part that matters most, so we will be direct about it:
Commission rates never influence our rankings. A product that pays us a higher commission gets no advantage in our reviews, comparisons, or “best of” lists. Our recommendations are based on testing, research, and value to you — nothing else.
We recommend products we would buy ourselves. If the best product in a category earns us nothing, it still tops the list.
Retailers and brands do not see our reviews before publication and cannot pay for coverage, edit our conclusions, or remove critical verdicts.
We label sponsored content clearly on the rare occasions we publish it, in line with FTC and ASA requirements. Affiliate links within ordinary reviews are not sponsored content — they are how we fund independent testing.
Regulatory compliance
For US readers: this disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), which require us to tell you when we have a financial relationship with companies we link to.
For UK readers: we aim to comply with the Advertising Standards Authority’s CAP Code and the Competition and Markets Authority’s guidance on online reviews and endorsements, which require commercial relationships to be made clear.
Where individual articles contain affiliate links, we also include a short disclosure at the top of the page so you never have to hunt for this information.
