Zen Tech Hub exists to help readers in the US and UK make better buying decisions about consumer technology. That only works if you can trust what we publish. This page explains how we decide what to cover, how we keep commercial relationships separate from editorial judgment, and what to do if we get something wrong.
Editorial independence
Zen Tech Hub earns money from display advertising (served by the Adsterra ad network) and affiliate commissions (including Amazon Associates in the US and UK, Awin, Impact, CJ, and direct brand programs). These relationships fund the site. They do not influence what we write.
Specifically:
Advertisers and affiliate partners have no input into which products we cover, what we say about them, or what scores or rankings we assign.
Our commission rates play no role in recommendations. We will recommend a product that earns us nothing over one that pays a commission if it is the better choice for readers.
Writers and editors are not paid based on affiliate revenue generated by their articles.
Editorial content is produced independently of the advertising side of the business. Ad placements are served programmatically and are labelled as ads.
For full details on how we earn money, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
No pay-for-play reviews
We do not sell reviews, rankings, or coverage. Brands cannot pay to be reviewed, to improve a score, to appear in a “best of” list, or to have negative coverage removed or softened. Any request of this kind is declined.
If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored, kept separate from our reviews and buying guides, and never presented as an independent editorial verdict.
How we select products for coverage
We choose what to cover based on reader interest and merit, not commercial pressure. Products typically earn coverage because they are:
widely available to buy in the US or UK;
significant in their category (a market leader, a strong budget alternative, or a genuinely new approach); or
frequently asked about by readers or heavily searched for.
We buy many of the products we cover at retail. Where a manufacturer provides a review sample or loan unit, we disclose that in the article, and it has no bearing on our verdict. We do not accept payment, gifts beyond nominal value, or exclusive access in exchange for favourable coverage. Review samples do not guarantee coverage at all.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to assist with parts of our workflow, such as research organisation, first drafts, and data comparison tables. No AI-assisted article is published without human editorial review: our content researcher and writer, Vasudha Gupta, checks facts, specifications, and pricing against primary sources before publication, and responsibility for everything published rests with the site’s operator, who can be reached at hello@zentechhub.com. Product verdicts, scores, and recommendations reflect human judgment, not automated output. We do not publish unreviewed AI-generated content.
Sourcing and accuracy standards
Specifications are verified against manufacturer documentation or the product itself.
Prices are checked at the time of publication and clearly dated; they may change afterwards.
Claims about performance are based on our own hands-on use and testing where possible. Where we rely on third-party data or have not tested a product ourselves, we say so.
We link to primary sources — manufacturer pages, official documentation, regulatory filings — rather than repeating unsourced claims.
We update high-traffic buying guides periodically and note the date of the last substantive update.
Corrections
We correct errors promptly and transparently.
Factual errors (wrong specification, price, availability, or test result) are fixed as soon as they are verified, with a correction note added to the article for anything material.
Minor issues such as typos or formatting are fixed without annotation.
Substantive changes to a verdict or recommendation are explained in an update note with the date of the change.
To report an error, email hello@zentechhub.com with the article URL and the issue. We aim to respond within five business days.
